I was out running errands on Sunday. After leaving a local grocer.…trying to find out how I would be able to be added to their donations list. I walked out of the store…looked up and was face to face… with a face that seemed all too familiar. I knew that I had noticed him from somewhere. He was shorter and much more handsome than I had ever imagined. It kept gnawing at me. I thought I knew who he was…and he has brought many a smiles to my heart…and a lot of powerful knowledge to my being. I kept thinking that I needed to go back and thank him…if that is who he was. Nearly reaching the car, I decided…after milling it over in my head, at least half a dozen times….my back was killing me…..after much debate…I realized…I may never get the chance to do this again. I walked back into the store…and asked the young gentleman who he was with…if it was appropriate the man in question. Then, I began to speak to him. He didn’t hear me so, I tapped him on the shoulders…. and he turned to me.

Isn’t it goofy…how we can treat others differently…just because they are on TV! I have always been a nervous ninny….if front of people of importance. Now  that I have figured out that people aren’t important…just because they act like they are…there wasn’t much nervousness in my system, at all!

I introduced myself…told him about some of what I had experienced in my life….thanked him for what he has brought to my life….told him that I don’t know if I will ever be where he is, in life….but, I wanted him to know that he has touched a lot of people’s lives and that he should keep up the good work….

Many people don’t care for TV Evangelists. I don’t care. I say that we need all of the help that we can get…There is a way to get to everyone.

I think that its easy for people to want something from those who are in positions of power. I do not want what I haven’t got! Only he knows what is intended. That’s for him to know and me to find out!
